Horses for Sale

The Imperial Promise:

I am happy to tell you all I know about a particular horse for sale, including personality traits & behavior, healthcare history and training to date. All my foals are raised here, and have spent all their lives growing up with our herd, making them level headed and used to a variety of experiences. Personal visits are encouraged to see a horse up close and get to know them before you buy; ESSENTIAL when buying a horse to ride. Photos and video can only tell you  part of the story. Photos and video on this site are never altered or enhanced. Comprehensive information on training received, health care and behavior of each horse is available in writing to serious buyers.

NOTE TO DRUM HORSE BUYERS: There are many horses advertised as 'Drum Horses' but a number are not true to type, are too small, part bred, or are more truly Spotted Draft horses. In the US & Canada, to qualify as a Registered Drum Horse with either the ADHA or GCDHA, the parents must be Gypsy, Shire, Clydesdale or a mixture of these three breeds. Friesian blood is also allowed by the GCDHA. BOTH parents must be a minimum of 15hh tall, and the Drum horse itself must be 16hh or over when mature. These are TALL heavy riding horses with feathered draft horse breeding and should have a minimum of 1/8th gypsy blood. If in doubt, please ask one of the registries for advice before buying or contact me.
